290 I Slightly Fight or Flight is the New Normal

Today on Mastering Midlife:

●      Shallow breathing, tension and high alert is just our baseline now.

●      We are ready (if only a little) to fight, run, or hide most of the time.

●      Fears run our lives and our bodies whether real or imagined.

●      News, social unrest, economic anxiety is keeping us on edge.

●      This tension is ruining our health, our creativity and our relationships.

●      Relaxing in the moment is as easy as breathing.

●      One minute, a few times a day, can be a game changer.

●      The impact of survivor’s guilt.

●      “How to Be Your Best In Every Situation Podcast Episode” (Ladder of Consciousness)

Check your body.  Check your breathing.  Do you notice the tension, the shallow breathing?  Are you relaxed and supple?  Probably not.  That is because we have been condition to accept this state of high alert, or “fight or flight” as the new normal.  But it doesn’t have to be.  Take 5 minutes with me and let’s reset our bodies (and our minds) to a more creative, relaxed, and clear state of being.
