172 | What's YOUR Roadrunner and Are You Even A Coyote Anyway?

The drives and motivations that powered us to success (our Roadrunners) in our 20s and 30s start to wane and even turn on us in our 40s and 50s.

In fact, we go after money, success the trophy spouse with the obsession worthy of Wile E. Coyote chasing the roadrunner.  The goal is the prize and we rarely stop to contemplate, is the roadrunner we are chasing, really what we want?

Now is a great time to take stock.

"What have you been maniacally and unconsciously, chasing your entire life.” – Mark J. Silverman

Today on Mastering Midlife:

●      What has been the cost of chasing the roadrunner to the exclusion of other stuff?

●      A roadrunner could be trying to fix a trauma or perceived wrong from childhood.

●      As an aside, isn’t funny how much “Acme Co.” resembles Amazon.

●      Do you even want what you’ve been chasing all this time?

●      You’ve been told all your life you are a coyote, are you sure that’s true?

●      Midlife is a time to take stock of your goals, your resources, and your authentic self.
