296 I Tina Turner, Tiger Woods, Frank Sinatra and Grit

Today on Mastering Midlife:

●      Tina Turner was a washed-up novelty act with 35 cents to her name

o   And ended up filling stadiums around the world

●      Tiger Woods was humiliated, injured and demoralized

o   Came back a decade later and won the Masters in front of his son

●      Frank Sinatra was down to playing dives to pay the bills

o   Six months later played an epic concert at Caesars and solidified himself as an icon forever

●     What can we learn from their very public climb from the depths?

They are superstars.  They are talented beyond measure. They have it all.

And they have something in common.   They’ve had lows.  Really low, lows.

And they have/had the grit to come back after all the fame and accolades vanished.

And they did so on the world stage.

"For me, the lesson learned, if superstars are just real people with grit, where can I dig down to do what I need to do to succeed?”  – Mark J. Silverman
